Use and Maintenance of SF6 Load Break Switch

As we all know, the SF6 load break switch on the outdoor pole is mainly used for power-off equipment under the no-load or light-load conditions of small-capacity transformers and high-voltage power capacitor banks. The SF6 load break switch is an electrical device between the isolating switch and the circuit breaker. It is mainly used to switch on and off the transformer, no-load overhead line and cable line that meet the requirements, but it cannot break the short-circuit current. Use in series with a fuse to achieve short-circuit protection. So what problems should be paid attention to when using SF6 load break switch? Let's find out more informations about 11kv load break switch, 24kv load break switch and 33kv load break switch.

1. Problems to be noticed when using SF6 load break switch

When using the SF6 load break switch, ensure that it is installed correctly, and at the same time, the frame of the switch, the closing mechanism, the sheath of the cable and the protective device should also be well grounded. When the SF6 load break switch is used in conjunction with the fuse, it is necessary to pay attention to the rationality of the matching of the two models, so as to avoid various failures.

Since the sf6 load break switch does not have an arc extinguishing device, although it can isolate the power supply, there are obvious disconnection points. During use of pole top switch, it is necessary to pay attention to the normal temperature of the equipment connection, and at the same time, the contact is good in the closed state. Closing operation test to ensure that it can be used normally only if there is no abnormality. When using the SF6 load break switch, it is necessary to do a good job of cleaning, regularly check for dirt, cracks, damage, leakage and other problems, and at the same time, pay attention not to wash it with water.

2. Four maintenance precautions for SF6 load break switch

(1) Before the SF6 load break switch is officially used, the insulator needs to be wiped clean, and at the same time check whether it is cracked or damaged, whether the insulation is good, etc.

(2) Due to the frequent operation of the load break switch, it is necessary for everyone to check the load break switch and tighten the fasteners to avoid loosening after repeated operations. At the same time, ensure that the transmission parts are well lubricated to avoid rust.

(3) Regularly check the integrity of the arc extinguishing chamber of the SF6 load breaker. Because once the load break switch is used for a certain number of times, various minor faults may occur in the interrupter, which requires everyone to check and maintain.

(4) Check whether the operating mechanism of the sf6 load break switch is jammed or sluggish. For example, it is necessary to check whether the three-phase contacts are in synchronous contact when closing the switch, and whether the center is offset; The angle should be greater than 58°, and there should be an obvious disconnection point when disconnecting.
